What with the incompetence around Katrina and the disaster in Iraq and the dawning sense among Americans that they made a very bad mistake in letting a dry drunk run the store, it appears Dubya may have turned to an old friend for solace.
Of course, the story is carried by the National Enquirer, so take it for what it's worth. But, check out Bush's meet and greet with the press. There's the usual incoherence (from a post by Whatever It Is, I’m Against It), where Bush argues that
“Now, look, they’ve been successful on attacks. They were successful here. They’ve been successful in London and Madrid. In other words, they have had attacks.”My fav item from the conference though is this pic that I'm guessing the White House thinks makes Bush look capable and in command. But is it just me or is it more like Bush is doing his Silver Surfer impression. So, he's gotten into dad's liquor cabinet and busted out the comic book stash. Everything's going just great.
